To get the full benefit of this extension, you should hit F11 to go to a full screen view. Pillarbox will auto save your file. The file is saved locally allowing you to be completely offline when writing. Files are saved locally so you do not need to stay connected to the internet to do your work. Pillarbox is much more than a simple text input window.
